At the heart of Mantra & Moss is a quiet, instinctive pull — the kind that can’t be taught — toward presence without agenda. A way of being that values depth over fixing, and attention over performance. It comes from a belief that being witnessed, without judgement or urgency, is often more powerful than being changed.
Much of this philosophy was shaped by lived experience. Moving through life undiagnosed as neurodivergent taught me about masking, misfitting, and what it feels like to be unseen. It also taught me the quiet intelligence of stillness — the safety of kind eyes, the relief of silence that asks nothing in return.
Mantra & Moss now exists as a reflection of that knowing. Not as a place of guidance or sessions, but as words, objects, and moments that honour sensitivity, slowness, and the quiet brilliance of being wholly human.

Mantra & Moss is the evolved heart of what began as MoodMantras — shaped by lived experience, reflection, and a deep trust in nature’s quiet intelligence. What started as mindful practices has softened into a philosophy expressed through words, objects, and handmade creations. Everything here is made with sensitive, fast minds in mind, and a belief in slower rhythms, creativity, and grounded presence.

I’m an emergency nurse with a holistic heart, a trained holistic counsellor and meditation teacher, and a certified forest therapy guide (Shinrin-yoku). I walk both worlds—Western medicine and somatic, earth-connected healing—believing in a “both/and” approach that values clinical knowledge alongside intuitive, body-based care.

Following my late ADHD and ASD diagnosis, I began to reframe years of inner experience: the overwhelm, the sensitivity, the burnout. I started building rituals to soothe and regulate my nervous system—slow, sensory-based practices using breath, nature, touch, and creativity. These “homemade recipes for regulation” are now at the core of Mantra and Moss.
Held By the Wild is my art practice — a nature-inspired creative space where acrylic painting, watercolour, digital illustration, and nature crafting come together. My work is rooted in a deep connection to the natural world, exploring how landscape, texture, colour, and organic forms can evoke calm, belonging, and quiet reflection.
Each piece reflects moments of being outdoors, working with natural materials, and allowing creativity to flow intuitively. From painted works to handcrafted nature pieces, Held By the Wild celebrates art as both expression and restoration — a reminder that creativity, like nature, has the ability to ground us, inspire us, and gently bring us back to ourselves.
Each piece has a tiny hidden door for you to find, signifying endless possibilities that come from taking a leap of faith.
Often, I hide more than one tiny detail, as stopping to notice the little things is being present which has incredible health benefits. Can't help but put my nurse's hat on!

One of my favourite podcasts I’ve been featured on is the Think Different ,Teach Better Podcast, created by two passionate Melbourne teachers dedicated to building classrooms that genuinely support all learning styles.
'Over two episodes, Charlotte and Carla speak with Ellie, who was diagnosed in adulthood with both autism and ADHD after navigating her entire schooling without knowing why things felt different for her.
Ellie reflects on her primary and secondary school years, the challenges of masking, sensory and social experiences, and the teachers who made a difference — even without knowing her neurodivergence. She shares what she wishes educators understood then, and what schools can do now to better support undiagnosed and neurodivergent students.
This is a powerful conversation for teachers, future teachers, and anyone committed to creating classrooms where every learner feels seen, safe, and supported."

I offer honest, experience-based talks for educators, schools and learning communities about neurodivergence, classroom inclusion, and the lived reality of learning differently.
Drawing from my own late ADHD and autism diagnosis, my nursing background, and years of personal reflection, I share what school felt like from the inside via a q & A session. Sessions are designed around the subjects of anxiety, masking, misunderstanding, and the small adjustments that could have made a big difference.
These sessions focus on practical awareness, compassionate approaches, and simple strategies that help neurodivergent students feel safe, capable, and genuinely included. My aim isn’t theory alone. It’s insight, empathy, and usable tools teachers can take straight back into the classroom.
If you’d like a real, human perspective on supporting diverse learners, I’d love to connect. Please reach out via mantraandmoss@gmail.com or via button below
